Good info.

When the oil level inside the rotor is higher than the outer diameter of the stationary draining vane (11), the surplus oil is drained through the radial and axial passages which are interconnected.
Hmm.. So how is the oil kept from sloshing rearward during acceleration into the draining vane and lowering the volume in the rotor? Does a rotor turning at 1/3 crank speed generate enough centrifugal force to overcome the sloshing?

Or is there a design element in the "radial and axial passages" I dont understand.

If you don't mind spending some money send your S4 rotors to CLR Motorsports and have them lightened and balanced to 93 specs. Then you can just use the 93 counterweights. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...e=post&id=29907 Don't know what they charge but my next engine will have these rotors.
