Manually? Did you have a vacuum tube running up near the driver's seat to stick your thumb on it when needed or something?
Oh, I think I see what you're talking about.
Does your FB have direct fire ignition? I don't think direct fire would help with CO though.
Oh, ok. I'll try the vacuum booster line on one of the secondary runners and see if it works. Thanks for the tip.
As for the inspection, yeah, it's just to see if anything on the car is stolen. That means I need receipts for all the big things like body work and any engine work. It's not a safety inspection.
"No body work has been performed and only a Japanese engine has been installed along with a new battery to get it running. Here are the reciepts," I'll say.
"What? Oh sorry about that. The exhaust is a little loud." Nah, I'll make it super quiet for the inspection and then redo it later. That is of course IF the 20B will run. I fabbed up an ACV blockoff plate today. I've gotta do a few more things to the manifold and then figure out a way to fit the dellorto on it.

actually i have my power brakes working off of one of the 3.5mm nipples in the rear of the intake, it then gets adapted to the larger size.
it works fine, i initially put it in there and drove around pumping the brakes and the vacuum doesnt go away, so the larger hose doesnt seem to be needed?

That's interesting. Too bad I can't use any. They were touching the firewall so I had to extract them. I bet if I slotted the front mount I could move the engine forward a tad. Do you think I should?
Do you remember when I cut and welded my front cover mount? I needed to raise the engine a little so the pan and steering rack wouldn't hit.
I think I have a spare RX-3 front cover mount. It would solve my firewall issues, but the centerlink would get pushed down on the passenger side by the oil pan whenever the engine torques over.
Don't forget to weigh the plate tomorrow!

Thanks to j9fd3s, I now know the weight of the 80mm plate is 36 pounds without stationary gear. I'd say that's close to the weight of a group size 24 battery. That means the front end of my car should break even, even with an air oil cooler in front of the rad, as long as the battery is relocated.
I'll probably do that. I trimmed the outcropping at the back of the manifold yesterday. I'll probably tap some threads in it and use bolts, or take it to someone who can TIG.
As for the brakes, yeah, I'll install a 1/8 x 27 NPT fitting with a nipple for a vacuum hose or something.
