Here's another. Notice how close the UIM is to the firewall? The hood latch doesn't like how close the UIM is to it.

Damn it would have been nice to have that motor sit a inch forward more but that will work with some mild hammering.

I picked up an old 2 row core '79-'82 radiator yesterday. I'll get a 3 row core a little later. This 2 row will let me make some brackets and see if a clutch fan will fit.

Moving the engine forward would solve the hood latch problem, but would also move the waterpump pulley forward and may interfere with an electric fan. I'll try to set some time aside to test fit it today.

I tried test fitting a 12A clutch fan last night and was suprised that it may infact fit pretty well. The tips might hit the hood, but they could be trimmed if necessary. Since I won't be installing a supercharger in this car, I could swap the waterpump for a cast iron 1st gen style. It's a little heavier, but the short style radiator is lighter than the tall and REPU style. It will also fit much easier and not be in the way of a floor jack. Since the core of the short style is so short, only a 10" fan can be mounted to it, which is way too small. I'll most likely have to use a clutch fan, which will add a little weight to the front. Luckily, the 12A style fan can be mounted closer to the engine than the '86, and they're both the same diameter (16"). The battery will remain up front with the 13B and then get moved to the hatch with the 20B.

One of the side supports of the radiator came off the top tank so I'll try my luck soldering it back on today.

I plan on using a 240SX E-fan on my Swap.I hear it fits the FB rad and It'll be one less pain to unbolt from the motor.

That's what I'm hoping. The radiator is soldered back together.

I've got a really short fan spacer to use that came off the REPU. I hope it'll be short enough.

In the REPU? Yeah. The short spacer was on the old clutch fan that died. I put an FB fan with long spacer on the REPU and it fits fine.
