spec'n out tap size required to plug the acv and egr inlets at the bottom of the exhaust housings tonite..

(studyin itos exhaust portin.. got my housings back recently..intake housings to follow..)

certainly looks like once plugged..unnecessary exhaust circulation around the sleeve might hamper flow..

i doubt they are substantial..

thinkin of the followin..

replacement sleeves without the 2 holes on the sleeves... are these available

or

complete removal of the sleeve... id consider this but i see issues..

one of which is direct heat to the aluminum housing and coolant passages..

lookin to get some feedback...

I'm pretty sure sleeves are available without the holes.

I wouldnt run without the sleeves, you want to keep the exhaust heat inside the plumbing, not in the rotor housing & water jacket. I'd go the other direction and find sleeves with no holes and have them ceramic coated. Especially if it's for a turbo application.

there were a couple of guys on the evil forum that had made sleeves where the size of the port didnt change. ie the sleeve stays the same size as the port all the way thru, this helps velocity. do a search under 'turbostreetfighter' or 'rotarygod'

thought about just fillin the holes in...

but from the looks of it.. theres expansion to consider..

havin no play underneath these holes may cause problems...

since theres no hole at the bottom of the housing.. (plugged)..

it should be sufficient considerin that the turbulence would be less as the exhaust draw is no longer there..
