it not nothing new,.but it is first time i heard it from atkins though. Spend the 600 on and better intercooler. the slightly more dense seals are for top running cars only. if you worried about knocking don't use the dectecting method like many people spout about just prevent it all together buy a biiger intercooler let cooler denser air in the engine to stop it from the start

OK OK the pricing is way off, I talked to Atkins today. I can get the cryogenic seals, $299.99 per set (would take one day to get).

Here is what they said.

They are stronger that the regular seals however they are not the end all be all to the apex seal we are still working on that. Don't get me wrong they are better than anything else however they can be improved we are working with some of the fastest Rotary racers to make an even better seal. I know from what I have seen our cryo treated seals are good enough for anything that should be driven on the street. Only when large amounts of boost, 45psi or higher and 300 plus hp shots of NOS, the seals fail to do the job. I personally witnessed at Atco New Jersey a P-ported engine with a large shot of NOS 300-400 could not get a straight answer from the driver. The car made a record pass for a non turbo rotary on the regular seals they were done after that but did not break then he went to the cryo seals and ran the rest of the weekend. It all comes down to the proper air fuel mixture if the ratio is right you will not break apex seals.

So they aren't really all that much more expensive, they must have mis-quoted you or you misunderstood, hope that clears things up. I don't have them in the store yet, so if you are interested in buying them give me a call 1-888-678-2903

Cool, Thanks for looking into that. That sounds a lot better then $600.00. Something must have been lost in the translation but, I could have sworn he told me $600.00.
