Could you put RX8 plates together with FD rotor housings? I know you would have to have a custom intake manifold, but does everything else line up. Tension bolts, water seals, stationary gears exc....

The apex seals will still be in the FD rotor housings, if the sideseals are different that could be a problem if you use fd rotors. If you brigded the primaries then you would already have a monster exhaust being there are 2 of them. Or would all the exhaust just go out the FD rotor housing exhaust and not the RX8 exhaust on the side plate?

they moved the water seals back into the rotor housings, so the only potenital off the shelf rotor housing that would work is the 84-85 gsl-se one

I am not going to do it, just was wondering if it was possiable. Do the 12a's have problems with water seals? I mostly only hear about 13b's with the problems them. I wonder why they keep moving them back?

I don't know that much about the RX8 yet.

wouldn't the side plates open earlier? I have seen their location, but not in realation to a regular exhaust port. If someone did throw onw of those together it would be amazing.

the 12a usually only get water seal problems if you dont change the coolant enough, it can electorisize the water o ring land away
