be creative and do things to make your good drift better, show wise, like the things they do now where they go sideways with their doors open then the wipers on, i put my hazards on, some people who are really good like may friend stick both his feet out the window sidewways while using a hood prop to hit the gas...psycho.

If you are doing antics like that then you are not doing a good drift! IN first gear you can do silly stuff like that. We used to do that all the time like going around cones with your door open or something sometimes smoking a cigarette out the window and stuff like that. That is cool to impress the gallery and posers standing around but if you do a drift at speed on a track you will not be prodding the gas with a rod.......I will promise you that. First and foremost you would be disqualified. Doing things like that while on a road or track will lead to disaster unless you have some very very unique skills.

Don' t take that the wrong way, I am not saying it can't be done or that you should not try stuff but a real drift at speed just isn't gonna happen with your feet out the window.

Well duh, this is showdrifting. No one's gonna open their door going sideways 45mph!

Well if you are going that slow then you are not drifting.........that's the point. Drift is for SHOW. If you want to "showdrift" then show me a transverse at 50mph going from right hand turn to left hand turn while never loosing a straight line between apexes. Now try that with your feet out the window...........LOL good luck!

My whole point is not to be an ******* (which I am really good at by the way) but to show that going around a cone and first gear type stuff like that is not drift. It does require car control and is a great place to learn and if you do a lot of crazy **** then normal people eat it up I understand that. However a graduated drift will have the front tires slipping as well (to a point) they will control the line and direction of your car over a distance. I am trying to find a way with words to describe what I am talking about and it just is not happening. I will figure out how to explain it and post again.

As in the wheels still have friction to move in the Y-direction but also move somewhat in the X-direction, maybe?

i think what he's trying to say if your taking the correct line you wanna let your tires sliip a little bit so your cars stays on the correct path.
