Just read it in Autocar - there may be a new Bentley 4x4 based on a VW Touraeg to rival the Cayenne etc. Uses a new w12 engine with the Audi Q7 drivetrain. WTF is the world coming to?

Focus ST was caught testing on the Nurburgring at times 10 secs faster than the RS, and with more to come. 217bhp from the 2.3l 5 cylinder turbo engine.

I completely forgot about the joint venture thing, 4x4's are not my main focus of interest, but for **** sake a Bentley? The article did say the Bentley man in charge is against it, but VW are pushing for 100,000 cars a year - hence this.

doesnt surprize me. You know what Porsche's best selling car is right now? Yep. The cayenne. By A LOT! The boxster is a distant second. As stupid as it is to us, its making porsche a lot of money.

I suppose on the other hand, it gives them bigger budgets for the proper cars

yea, the cayenne gave porsche the money to develop the 997 boxster and 911, just like the saab 9-7, one of the biggest bastard children of GM, is supposed to do for saab in creating the 9-3 and 9-5 replacement. a swedish car known for safety, sitting on top of a trailblazer chassis.... at least it wont have firestone tires

Saab are fucked unless they do something drastic. And rebadging Subarus doesn't qualify.
