Well, i don't know how to break this to everyone, but all the performance mags have been showing some incredible numbers for the EVO8. i know motor trend ran a 13.0## with a stock EVOVIII and that is freakin nasty, what's funny is that they have the same motor as the older mitsu eclipse's, but with very stron internals and a 16G turbo which will easily handle 20psi (stock is 15 i believe). when people start modding these things they WILL be challenges and expect impressive number from average bolt-ons.

 

Here are some specific specs for the EVO8 that i'm quoting from Motor Trend



0-60mph: 4.59sec

Standing 1/4 Mile: 13.08@105.12mph

60-0: 106ft (this beat the Murcielago and Ferrari 575M)

Top Speed: 156mph

600ft slalom: 71.4mph (beat the Z06, new Viper, 575M, Murcielago, SVT Cobra, CL55 AMG, Jaguar XKR)

Curb Weight: 3263lbs





What a nasty little bastard...........oh yeah and they compair it with the new STi



STi :

1/4 mile: 13.23@104.6mph

0-60: 4.86sec

60-0 braking: 111ft (evo8: 106ft)



But the said that the STi hadn't been broken in yet, sooooo it is gonna be great to watch these cars battle on the street and then we fly by in out modded FD's

 

never compare a supra owner to a wrx owner or any type of muscle car owner because the supra will beat you in possable aspect and do it without blowing there motor.

 

yeah supras are really cool, the new record for HP on a stock bottom end is 1127HP at the crank. and thats without touching anything below the head gasget.

 

Well, their arrogance in their cars is all on the same level. WRX/Supra/muscle car owners all believe that they have the best damn things in the world.



I find that funny considering that because I have the best damn car in the world - an '89 Turbo2! All hail the FC.

 

You cannot deny the power and performance potential of a

Supra, stop hating.



I bet all the Supra guys say things like "you know those RX-7 owners,

they think thier cars are the **** meanwhile they cant get 500hp on pump gas and have the engine last more then a year"
