I was getting help from, barely street legal rotary12a...

A friend who lives across the bay from me who has a 85 GSL..

We was changing the o rings on the water cooled oil cooler..things were going good but taking longer than it should..



So I finished the job ..while he was working on his carb to get it running right so we can go to the races Friday night...at a local track..I was going home to get my carb tuned..and clean up ,take a shower etc..



When I was going home the car felt funny..clutch pedal was getting soft..then when I got home it stuck to the floor..WTF..I popped the hood and found out my hose had a crack down by the slave next to the sleave on the hose..so I coulnt do ****..



I woke up the next morning @ 8 am to start hunting for this hose..

I tried Discount Auto parts..AutoZone..they dont stock this part..its consider a non wear item and the dealership has it ..****..so I go to Napa last stop before the dealership ..Yeah they can get it and it wont be till Tues or Weds..and its like $14. or $15. with tax..not a bad price just the dam wait..



So going to 2 of these palces I asked them abotu a local place who makes customs hoses..for anything you need it for ..I called them up..and they closed at 12 noon ..so I go home pull the hose off go down there and had them look at it ..yeah they can make it ..and in steel braded..for $20. out the door..so I said hell yeah ..3 mins later..nice steel braded clutch line was made..They said they make **** for race cars all the time..only problem is .they have to make the brake lines in a difrent way and give the end connactors to you peicced..cause its not DOT approved..but its 100% better than the ones you get in stores..cause it holds high pressure..



So I have my GSLSE ft suspension with brakes etc I got to start to work on ..and im gonna get them to make all my hoses they can make...brake hoses...fuel hoses etc..it will cost just a little more than regular rubber hoses but will last and look alot better in the long run..
