Miata To Rx7 Conversion
#1
Anyone ever think of doing a Miata body conversion to make it look like a mini-RX7? The thought sorta popped into my head. I'd sure like to see one, especially if the person swapped the engine for a rotary (if it's possible and practical). Just sorta something I thought someone here might know about.

And that brings me to y next point kids!!!!!!!! SAY NO TO CRACK!!!!!!!!!! Just playing dude tired and thats all i could think of........ I would have to say its a better idea than the miata monster................ Why not keep the car a seven if you want to give it more hp??????????

Yeah, I figure it has to be possible, if maybe a little (or a lot) difficult. I mean, the bodies are different, but there's enough similarity in them to make a body conversion possible. The main problem I see is the convertible top/hard top part on the miata. You'd have to extend the cockpit somehow.

That is the stupidest idea i have ever heard of. Why the hell would you want to make a miata into an rx-7 wannabe. It would be so much cheaper to just buy a rx-7. Just trick out the miata if you have it but don't waste your time trying to make it a rx-7. I'm all for projects and custom stuff, but not when its a waste of time and not worth it.

Haha....their is a little yellow miata over where I live with all the ricer mods. Exhaust, euros, Neon. Anyway the car looks like crap but he has 500 stickers on it that say Rx-7, or rotary powered! I wish I would have had my camera, Or I was in my 7

ok, over here in england there is a company that actually do this conversion- they are called hurley motor engineering... www.hurleyengineering.co.uk
bear in mind, in the uk the miata is called the mx-5 and in japan its called the eunos roadster- but yes, a rotart mx5 is possible and has been done!
