i jut pcked my vw gti 1.8t up one week ago. ive put on 400 miles and havent gone pat 4000 rpm's and half throttle. while driving home from work today i pull up to a light. up next to me pulls a yellow mercury cougar v6 with an exhaust an led wiper thngs. he revved first as i wasn even looking that way. i figure fine.. break in period is over. he got me off the light as i bogged and then spun my crappy stock tires. once boost came on hard at 3500 i stopped losing ground. by the end of second i had 1/2 car or more and continued to pull until arond 80mph when i shut down. i must say i love the feel of a turbo. the only thing i miss is the 8000 rpm redline in my gtu... too bad the gti is faster... cant wait till i get my apr chip...
