Today was my first f-body kill. I ran this 93-97? Z28 and pretty much spanked him. He was a teenager, and his car looked stock but cherry. Anyhow, we only got to run up to about 85-90 from a 10 mph rolling start. He probably couldn't drive very well, not that I'm special but better than he was. By the time it was over I at least had him by a car legnth...

Man I love this car! It was SO worth all the hard work.

Nice kill. Nice engine swap. Probably one hell of a sleeper.

Thats a good question. I'm not sure about the proper break-in for a used engine. I've put close to about 800 miles on it so far. I drove to Dallas and back the first day, then changed the oil and coolant. That's about 260-270 miles. Then I drove it for about 250-300 miles after that before I really started going into boost. So thats about 500-560 miles in the first week of it running properly.

Plus the countless dozens of running (with and without load) hours trying to figure why it wasn't running right.

Technically, its been running since April, just not correctly.

Yeah, I believe I called it a "fresh engine" in another post. Well its "fresh" to me and with it putting out 110-120 psi on each rotor, I still call it "fresh".

Well with as much time as I've spent over/under/inside it, I figure I can at least stay with her for awhile.
