As for Chrysler, it's been in the ******* so long that I doubt it's saveable. Still Fiat is not making a serious investment as far as I have read (no money traded hands for the 35% of Chrysler), they'll just share parts designs to make Chrysler's death slower than it would otherwise be while Fiat cars become all that sells in their dealerships.

You've never seen the Top Gear where they chop the top off a minivan called the Renault Espace and since it had a plastic roof anyway, the thing still held together really well at highway speeds. Their top hand-made with material for tweed pants didnt exactly work though..or their lexan windows.
