A dad holding me back

You can't bridgeport that motor anyway because it is a six-port. Which is just as well for you because a bridgeport will idle at about 1500-2000 rpm and drink gas to the tune of 9-12mpg. You can do a mild street port and that will help plenty.
Sounds like you need to do some SERIOUS research. Spend a month studying before you start.

Um.. .you're still a senior correct? What do you work for? How much money do you get? Porting isn't that expensive, but you'll need the money, and I doubt your father will let you bridgeport the sucker, if he was leary of you fixing your car up.
Again, I recommand a street port......

Yea your right, when i said bridgeport he damn near **** himself haha. He said, and i quote, "Gee lets idle at 3 grand on the rpms and drink gas like your grandfather drinks on new years, umm no."
LOL thought it was funny. Well i start work at burger king in a few days, friday i think, making 5.25 an hours, 5 days a week from 4pm to 12am.
I need to afford apex seals and porting, all while paying insurance on my mustang and keeping gas in it, plus maintaining my social life (also costs money). So i expect to have it running by the time i'm 40. I want to make sure its running by christmas tho, otherwise i know my dad will SECCA(think thats it, bracket racing) it. I figure if i can save a few hundred working, and then load up my b-day chrsitmas money i MIGHT be able to squeeze it out.
thnx for the link i'll check it out.

Well i did some research, seems not only does 90% of the sites i read say porting my 13B 6port non-turbo motor a BAD idea due to thin walls, they won't even TOUCH the exhaust cause of some sleeve that i apparently won't get good results from getting rid of.
Instead they replace the housings with turbo housings and put in new rotors. So now i ask you this:
Do i buy a newly rebuilt motor, or do i buy apex seals and turbo housings, ahve them ported, and use my old rotors(if i can)??
I hate not having money, i saw a race ready 13b 7 motor for 1200 new rebuild with dyno sheets, if i had that $$ i woulda got it. My dad saw "a killer deal", it was a 20b motor for 4 grand. Yea some deal on a BK salary...
