Yea you have to get used to it, as soon as it becomes regular your body wants it. Plus it feels so good afterwards....

just do it.. .that is what nike says anyways...

but really.... ifyou've never ran in your life... you are going to find even 1 km challenging... let alone 1 mile.

Set your goal.

i doln't know good of shape you are in... lets say u've never done any sports for say 3 years and watch TV and turn wrenches on the car all day long babying your 7.

Set your goal to be like 1 km without walking at a light pace and build from there. Then the next weak say do the same thing but increase the distance by adding 2 extra blocks.

move on from there.

and don't stop and stick with it. Do'nt make excuses for yourself unless its another sport related thing... Forexample i would trade running and weights for a game of squash or tennis. But don't trade it in for say TV.

BTW reduing your own weight is the biggest performance gain for yourself and the car.

I'm a senior in high school and i've been playing football for 6 years and i started my first year of track and field on monday. If you are sore, eat plenty of bannanas and stretch as much as you can, even b4 u goto bed. It will help you out a lot!
