are you running on pavement? a track? grass? I've played competitive tennis thru high school and college and always noticed my knees would hurt a bit when playing on pavement...as opposed to indoor cement, carpet, or clay. same back and forth running motion, but the pavement was so unforgiving...

also, if you've been keeping up the constant rhythm of running 3-4 times a week, i'd think your body would have adjusted to this new athletic activity...buuut, being that its cold maybe that has played a part in not letting your body get in shape as quickly as it would have if it was warmer out...

but maybe you are running indoor so temperature isn't a concern?

Well I'm 18, I run on a padded indoor track, and i am going to go out and spend atleast 120 on some good running shoes, porbably nike airs, word is they are the best. My shoes fit fine, socks are ****, I'm going to pick up some running socks, the xtra thick kind. Hopefully this will solve my problem, I training for a 10k in April, and plus I enjoy running, its fun kicking ur *** more and more each week, and the runners "high" is :bigok: .
