hey would at 3rd gen rear differential be a good swop for the 88 t2?

i doubt it, since there are a few FD guys running T2 diffs.

i cant find a t2 diff anywhere but the 3rd gens are poping up here and there these days. just wounder if i could put one on the t2? im trying to ride this year.

Yes, it is a direct bolt in. You have to use a TII rear differential case though, and the FD "chunk"

I have an FD TORSEN in a TII differential case in my gaurage..... But the stock S4 TII clutch pack is stronger.
