You need a good transaxle and I think Hewland or ZF still makes some.

 

The ZF 5-speed as included in the Pantera should be just fine. Should run about 5-8k grand, though. They are much stronger than the Porsche units.



BTW, my 3-rotor into Lotus Europa project is coming along , but i don't get to work on it much.
