I think 300 with rails, and no one else's ass has been on it. I'm kinda getting sick of people trying to sell used as "new" items. In my opinion, if you took it out of the box you automatically lose 25% of the value due to depreciation. |
Where are you getting the seat for that money?
All I see is $270 USD prices. |
word from teh grape vine..

You have a FD or FC? I cna't remember, but if u are looking for bilstein for FC rx7s, they are custom. Just like teh koni yellows which come in cartridge. You have to cut open your old shocks, modify the housings and weld in the sleeve to hold the cartirdge. |
Rich has a sweet silver fd, i would kick him in the testes and steal it but the clutch slips so i wouldn't get too far

No, this is my original car. The US car is still "Pending", though I should know either way tonight. If it falls through, I might cross over to the dark side and get a vert. I've had this one about 1.5 years. It was 12a when I got it, and it is now GSL-SE 13b. It has a bunch of Leigh and Scott's parts in it, since they both parted their cars while I was building. Lemme see if I can figure out this new fangled forum... |
shouldn't u be redesigning the colbolt instead of surfing nopistons?

Hey guys I see from the thread here people mentioning Tiger Japanese auto, do yourselves a favour, and DO NOT deal with them!! I bought an s5 turbo motor from them, when I got it home, the motor would only turn 1/3 of the way! and, the compressor wheel on the turbo was chewed up!! When I went back, they said that they had no more motors, but in plain site, I could see 4 or 5 of them!! Anyways, I went to a place on Dixie Road, and got a great motor for $850 taxes in! I forget the name of the place, but I will let you know when I remeber. As for my winter progress, I sold my 1990 turbo II (Shawn is pissed! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR) but, I am looking for a nice convertible, or clean NA as I have my old blown TII motor that I want to rebuild and drop in. Also, I am looking for a 1990-1994 nissan 300zx for my wife, if anyone knows of one for sale, please get a hold of me!

i know several people who have bought from tiger imports. They ahve a two week startup guarentee. If it goes past two weeks and u come back and say the motor is crap, they can't help you. You obviously have to be a careful buyer and bring a wrench to try to turn the motor, look at the condition of the turbo charger and any related accessory. Listen for wooshes as the motor compresses and stuff like that.

Nice looking car, only if i had tons of money like Rich i would buy one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif Give me a shout on Sat if you want. Ill be taking out the UIM(takes an hour) and drinking beer (takes about 5 hours) so it should be a full days work LOL https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
Well, they say the first year of marriage is the hardest, i'm just making sure I survive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I'm not giving up op on rx's yet, I just want to make my wife happy (300zx), and I want a project to tackle (the rx). I found a few vert candidates, but I really want an s5, so I am still looking. mmm vert turbo, it would be a great ride I would think! I am heading out to Ottawa to check a few 300's this weekend, but any other time I am up for stopping by, and my garage is still available if you need a hand. Btw, when are you going to tackle the vacuum lines?

Milan RSTURBO - stop your search I have the car for you. I have an s5 vert that I did a widebody conversion to as well as a turbo conversion. I am going to sell it minus the motor but with the TII tranny. So all you would have to do is drop in the motor, harness and ECU and you've got a smokin ride. If you want more info pm me your number and I'll give you a call. I have spent over $17,000 on this car it will not disappoint. |
when i buy my motor i plan to go with a battery and compression tester so the only thing i'll have to worry about is the coolant seals
|
I just orderd my silicone from High Temp Silicone, smokin deal so when that stuff arrives ill be going to town. Just not sure when or where i want to do this. 1Bad7 from the evil forum has done this before and said he would help me with it in the spring. He said if you dont have the right tools and have not done it before it takes a day or two. But he does so he siad only about 4 hours.....
So i have to see if i want to have him help or just try and do it in my lil garage.

So i have to see if i want to have him help or just try and do it in my lil garage. It's easy, but take your time. When I did it I removed the emissions stuff at the same time. That cuts out about half of the lines you need to do, and ensures you'll have enough solenoids as you'll likely break a couple. |

So i have to see if i want to have him help or just try and do it in my lil garage. Just have a chisel and a hammer handy. This is the BEST tool to have. Those phillip screws are the biggest pain for me. spent $45 buying the right tool only to come looking for my hammer and chisel combo. Replaced those screws with a SHCS Removing the hardened rubber(aka plastic) from the solenoids requires patience and not brute force. Soak mine in wd 40, twist, sharp knife and pull. Don't just pull the manifold, there are a bunch of vacuum lines underneath it. |
got my motor yesterday, tiger apparently "found" 3 more in the back.
so you guys interested in a meet this summer up in my neck of the woods? |

Well, to get back to the original question that Shawn asked...
Excluding the fall maintenance, the only changes on the 7 have been cosmetic. Santa brought me a new black leather with red stitching shifter boot. The original redish-green was starting to look like ass. He also brought a new pedal set. Much better for heel-toe (for me actually ball of foot to side of same foot). It's been a pretty quiet winter for me. Still driving the 7 to work and back (4km round trip). That is about all the driving she is getting now. The odd time we have had more than 4in of snow at once, I left the 7 in the garage. I'm looking forward to nice warm spring days so that I can really open her up and tackle some good roads. Roger |
