Blowing motors like nobodys business,

but the car idles like normal? it just dips to 700rpm sometimes?
if your motor *IS* blown it would sound like a mustang with open headers with a huge lobey *** cam in it. you would *know* by the sound of it. if the motor still purrs i find it hard to believe you have only 30psi of compression because thats like horrible compression the front wouldnt even really be firing so it would sound like a v6 with a 3 cylinder misfire.

ya it runs and drives fine usually, sometimes it drops kinda low on vacc , like 12 ish, then goes back up to 18 so..
wait a minute.... did you unflood the motor before you did the compression test? did you make sure that the compression tester was very tight on the spark plug hole?
kev is right... it would be hard to believe that your engine still purrs with a blown motor, cuz even fouled plugs will make your idle wacky.

good point ronnie, hey guys, should i comp test the motor when its cold or warm? I did it RIGHT after shutting it down when it was at normal operating temp. Should i comp test it with removing the scharder vlave when the motors cold?

Ok, i skipped the thread but:
I ******* TOLD YOU that you needed more fuel. But no, you were right...
With the breakin, it has nothing to do with the longevity of the motor really. I run the motors for a while, change the oil and then have at it.
If you have new bearings then some consideration is needed. However, this would not create a seal chipping problem.
You were running lean and detonated. Letting the car hit ******* FUEL CUT as a means of boost controll might be the worst possible way of handing the problem.
Going from the stock IC to the ASP large is a BIG change. YOU WILL RUN LEANER, as I tried to warn you.
wasted breath i suppose.

IC won't make that big of a difference if I keep stock boost levels. I've already discussed that with another avid forum member which told me I have nothing worry about running ASP large as long as boost levels are within check.

my motor was never flooded to my knowledge though ?
