I'm going over to my buddy's house today where I can port and polish my manifolds to get them ready for the new block, and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and do the TB mod as well? I heard that it cuases hesitation..is this true? Is the hesitation going to be noticeable at all? I just don't see a big gain in doing the mod really...minus the coolant bypass part...opinions on this?
It just makes things more simple. You won't gain much unless you port the TB. Removing the coolant flow will usually require holdin the gas pedal down a little to keep the idle up on cold days when first starting the car. When I put in my Wolf 3D that problem went away.

The haltech will be able to control that too, right?
Also, I plan having larger throttle plates made so I can get the TB bored out...

If you hook up the haltech to control the BAC it will hold a high idle for warm up.
I don't like the sound it makes so I don't bother with it. The haltech has a enrichment map that will help keep the car running while cold, it will idle low and rich but it gets there.
