I don't really know but my dad's shop has been in business for 20 years and they refuse to use Autolites on anything except Fords. NGK work really well. I believe Bosch makes plugs for us too. I use the NGK and haven't had a problem yet.

check my post on fuel cut off switch , should fix your prob.

in my expirience, hot starts seem to be a compression problem.
