the s5 ecu needs to idle in a certain rpm range, other wise it will go hunting for the right range. you need to set it to the spec idle speed

Yeah I just don't know anymore, I wen crazy with that starter fluid and couldn't find anything. I think the TB mod is just making it all messed up. It idled steady at 1500 before we did the TB mod, and we found a vaccume nipple that didnt get capped which was probly the leak that was causing the slightly high idle before. Then we did the TB mod and it won't even idle steady.

ok so i let the car warm up all the way to see if it ould stop surging once warm, but instead this weird *** noise that I have never heard before started. Every time the car would rev up on its surges a noise like a telephone ring when your calling someone started coming out of my intake. It was very electronic sounding, but I have no idea what could have been making the noise. Almost like a electronic bird chirping every rev. Has anyone ever heard this noise before??? I'm going to drive it this weekend when i get my tires and see how it runs, but it sure would be nice to have it idle steady. I have some pics of the TB mod so I'll post those as well as some motor pics.
