My Motor has only done 5000kms from the rebuild, and done 86,000kms in total.

So are there any other brands of synthetics safe to use in my mazda.. like shell?

What brand/weight do you think I should run?

I disagree. I have a '86 RX-7 as my daily driver and a 2000 NSX as my weekend car. I use only Redline or Amsoil in both. After consulting both companies, they both suggestied that I use a 5W-50w weight in the cars.
