Thumbs up

i have a 91 rx7 n/a. i was told when i got this car that it had 160 hp, and i've also been told that j-spec engines have the same amount of power as the us version, but at corksport their j-spec 13b rotary engine is rated at 205 hp, and cost 2200 plus shipping. why is this engine rated with more power than mine, and is it a s4 or s5 engine? would i be better off buying one of these engines or spending at least 1500 rebuilding the engine that came in my car? i dont really know what to do. i need to get my car running soon for when i move into my new house in july.

the na motor for a s5 (89-91) is 160 -170bhp the motor corksport and many others have is a jdm turbo 2 motor rated at 200-210 bhp and its TURBO not na. and the s4 motors are slightly less hp both na and turbo due to compression , rotor weight, turbo design ect. hope that clears it up some
