thats just a piston motor term, big vs small, referring to two significantly different gm v8 blocks. (afaik)

short vs long is just what level of assembly they are at, i have the habit of calling an assembled 13b with no accessories (just housings assembled w/rotors inside) a short block .. i've seen others use it this way too with rotaries, makes sense to me. Since I've moved on to the oil pump, front cover, and now water pump, housing, oil pan, intake manifold etc it's approaching the long block level.. (in my vocabulary anyways, someone smack me if i'm way off on this)

Dac:

The housings are all street ported, via mazdatrix, intake and exhaust.

End housings are S5 NA 6 port housings

Intermediate and rotor housings are S5 Turbo housings

all are new and ported.

For pricing info check out mazdatrix' site, I don't wanna talk about it

Just for completeness, inside are two new S5 NA rotors, hardened stationary gears, FD corner seal springs, all new 3 piece 2mm apex seals (oem) and all other seals are new oem.

the bill was pretty big.

banzai, sure unless you wanna race, then it's gonna have to wait til i get one of those miata transmissions too, heh heh

I've been contemplating the possibility of turboing this motor later on, but the more I read and watch, the more it seems NA is more useful on a road course, which is what I want to get into... road racing
