I got an alternator from that guy.

I will tell you the truth.

He's an excellent guy to deal with, and he does get them very cheap.

It's a brand new alternator, specify to him a single or dual sheave pulley to be included.

They all get tested before they are sent out, and he said he sees them testing around ~124 amps. I won't argue this, my car charges 14.5 solid with stereo and all loads on.

This alternator bolts right up. If you have an S5, there is no modification required. If you have an S4, you must change the harness plug (which is included with the alternator and instruction from the seller).

J-Rat had mentioned something about being suspicious of the alternator putting a drain on the battery when doing the S4 conversion. I haven't had a problem, but I drove the car everyday (it's away for winter now, and I have noticed if I try to start it after sitting for a week, there is a lack of power from the battery. I am not sure if it's the battery or J-Rat's suspicion showing through).

You can also look for silverrotor. I know he has a good record with FD alternators. Stand up guy too.
