ok...soooooo ive disabledthe actuator pin and everything so i can move the wastegate cover freely, but the outside part of the cover that connects to the actuator rod wont clear the side oif the turbo, so i cant open the cover up alll the way...thus not allowing me to get in ther to port it



help? how do i open it up??????????????????????????????????????







and....how much should i port it exactly

Why are you going to port it?Are you spiking or is it not staying at a set boost? What size is your downpipe? Usually s5 wg are fine as long as you don't have a 3" dp..

what tool were you planning on using the grind it? I'm not sure that its possible to get the door open all the way, so a die grinder with a tapered tip might do it...



Everyone always posts the pics of the S4 port on the wastegate, but I know somewhere I've seen the S5 one done...and thought that the door was actually open pretty far to allow clearance in there



The wastegate on my 91 T2 is ported...done by the previous owner...he was a machine-ist who had access to many tools, and said he just used a die grinder. Good luck with the task, I'm sure somewhere after some searching you'll discover the pics of either the S4 or S5 door, and see how those owners were able to pull it open.

yeah....vito showed me pics of a ported one and the door was WIDE open....



******* annoys me cause i cant find out how to do it

I ported my s5 wastegate ... its easy. But since youre a jack off and should be shot, im not going to tell you.
