'88 Tii Starts, But Shuts Off. --help--

Just found an '88 TII for a good price.

It will start up, but shuts off after about 15 - 20 seconds. Wait awhile, and it'll do it all over again.

What is it?

Mine ran for a few seconds and died. It seemed to run right but just died after a few seconds... turns out it was a vacuum leak. It didn't run for 15-20 seconds though.

my friend has one an does the same thing it was the fuel regulator...went bad an was allowing fuel to flow in the vacuum lines...or spark like nemesis said ...if motor was blown it wouldn't start at all....miner problem ...
