i really wouldnt spend time porting the TB if arent displacing a large amount of air vs the stock motor. Pengaru has a nice porting setup in his motor and that is why he did it. Uprated turbo motors will benefit from it much more than a NA motor..

just my ******** advice..
I hear ya.. I really didnt port it, I just polished the bores down smooth. I have a bunch of spare intake parts so why not. I figure with the TB mod, all the polishing, and the pineapple inserts, it has to help power even on a non ported NA. I'll have to take side by side pics so I can show you what I did so far.

What if i just take the sleeves out of the engine. Any power gains?? /any power loss???

how well do those pinapple racing inserts work. they seem pretty cheap, i would like to purchase them

When the Pinapple inserts are in, are they still functional? do they still turn?

whats makes them better than stock sleeves? Man i'm confused.

If sleeves are taken out I heard there is a power loss

Pineapple sleeves work great, and they work just the same as the stock units.

They are better than the stock units because they have a little incline made into them, smoothing out the flow of air...

I saw mention of my ported TB, just wanted to mention I'm not even going to use it on my car since I've got the TWM throttle body setup now...

maybe I'll sell it, it has the double throttle removed and the thermowax gone, holes welded and it's ported, also has a brand new TPS on it. PM me if interested.

Remove the sleeves and go for a drive. Not hard at all. You don't want to block off the port sleeves since they already block the port as it is then reopen when they are actuated. You want them open all the time (as you mentioned).

Pull off the LIM, stick your finger in the top port, wrap your finger around the arm in the sleeve, pull them out, bolt it back up, go for a drive.
