Theoretically, you could do it right now with street gas.

Stock FDs go about 160 mph, according to Road & Track. Stock FDs have about 220 rwhp. To go 100% faster with the same air resistance and rolling resistance, you need about 8X more power. To go 25% faster, you need about 2X more power. Technically you would therefore need 440 rwhp.

The only problem with this is that we normally have less horsepower than peak at 8000 RPM. That 160 mph stock FD is very close to horsepower peak at 6400 RPM. So, you would need 440 rwhp at 8000 RPM.

Think about it this way. Stock Viper GTS can go 192 mph, also according to Road & Track. They have 450 CRANK horsepower, or about 390 rwhp. They are bigger and heavier than an FD, pushing more air in front and generating more rolling resistance from weight.

If the old vipers can go 192, of course the new ones can go faster.. so, I hope I don't meet up with one of them..

I know a couple of people running around 400 Hp at the wheels and they have burried the needle on the spedo. With the error ratio and what not i figure they were goin about 180-190. So with 500 Hp at the wheels i have no doubt you could do it. Also they still have 4:10 rear ends if you got the 3:90 you would need prob 425-450 HP thats just my guess. But looking at your mods i say you have a long way to go before you can get it too 500 HP.
