Anyone know what gearing would get me to 200mph. Im not talking about power or anything like that. I just want to know the gear ratio for 200+ mph. Think it would have to be custom made, or are there any cars out there right now with a 6 speed gearing that can reach 200? Besides 'super/exotic cars'?

Stock 5-speed FD is geared for 202 MPH with 25" tall tires @ 8000 RPM. Use the auto tranny rear end with manual transmission and it's 212 MPH.

yes thats my goal ... its alot better than a 1/4 mile goal or something dumb *** like that. So the auto rear end is geard up to 200mph? crazy.. wasnt aware of that. Have any more info on it, like what the gear ratio is on all the gears, etc.? Thanks for the help.

well i thought the gearing on FD and FC manual transmission were the same......... why dont you contact racing beat...... they like goin over 200mph

lol.. well i think going 200mph is way more involved that some 1/4 time or something. Every little detail counts ...



thats my goal .. but it still has to be a street car.

Im pretty sure you can get there with a 3.9 final gear, depending on the condition of your current tranny and engine you might make it there in one piece...
