After a show about the autobahn in germany on the history channel, and seeing a 911 RUF go 212 mph.

What would be needed to make an FC 200+ mph legal and streetable street car?

I know horsepower but the biggest part would be handling, keeping the beast on the road.

Also changing some gear ratios in the tranny and a taller rear end. 3.9 or taller.

What do you think?

You may need a 6 speed or maybe a 3rd gen 5 speed. People have run over 200 mph--supposedly--on a TII transmission.

in september '99 the Blitz skyline R34 drove 214,6 mph on the german Autobahn and missed the speed record on a regular-traffic-street by 2,2mph. The record is hold by another tuned Prosche till today

on the racing beat bonneville car they changed the whole rear suspension, tranny and rear end. they were also running a bridgeported twin turbo mazda factory race motor.

so can it be done? yes. on a street legal car? i doubt it

Hell yeah it can be done......RB did it, and with turbo technology that is now over a decade old. suspension and aerodynamic geometry will be the biggest factors, but making the HP should not be a problem. Prime example, look what Ari is doing in only a quarter mile, lets say you now have two miles like bonneville, and i think it's possible. Expensive.....but possible
