yea it was cool for awhile but now i just cant handle it anymore. It sounds like a exhaust leak, and also Im tired of smelling like unburnt fuel whenever I get out and go in a store. I have to admit, it sound really good in boost but as far as idling, it sucks.

My question is, is there a kit that i have to buy to do this? Where can buy the parts. Anybody have idea on how much power Im going to loose? thanks.

A pipe fabricator can do it. You won't lose any power. Just less noise.

Open wastegate shouldn't affect the sound at idle.

I need to turn the boost up so it doesn't open every time I pull onto a busy street.

yeah the wastegate is closed at idle. It has no effect on sound level or "smells" , unless yours is messed up and stays open???

well boost sticks( I have a 10lb spring, and its holding boost) and yes exhuast flow through the vent pipe at idle. At idle theres a ticking noise, sounds like a small exhuast leak(other words it sounds like ****). I smell like exhuast fumes all the time, how the hell am I going to go out on a date smelling like exhuast

well then something broke!!

I too get sick of the fumes, but most of mine are from de-acceleration/exhaust pipe, etc. I thought about running mine into the DP as well, however oneday this Summer I developed a pin whole in my vacuum line from the manifold to the w/g. I made alot more boost that I had it set for..OF COURSE....Well I was fortunate enough to NOT hear the "wastegate noise" and knew there was a problem....So for me its a failsafe..... I might run a pipe 1/2 way back or something...we'll see
