Im about to purchase a mazdaspeed fiberglass hood with 2 vents for escaping hot air from the engine and the fresh air headlight covers. Has anyone here done either to there car? Should I notice some performance difference.? Will it drastically reduce engine temperature?

I have the faspac hood, basically the same as the mazdaspeed. You will notice much lower underhood temps, which will in effect help air intake temps and it will drop your coolant temps slightly. The mazdaspeed hood is a great looking hood, you will be happy with it overall.

the hood will help underhood temps,

honestly the headlight cover does nothing. I had the feed one. It looks cool, but there is no way cool air gets from the headlight cover to the filters

I actually registered 5 C lower when I put my Amemiya hood on! I averaged 86 C~ while city driving with a few burts to 7000 rpm's. Now I'm at 81 C~ with the hood...so I'll have to turn my fans on at a higher temperature so that my stupid engine doesn't run too cool
