Thanks Drew! It is about 97% done right now. I am waiting to mount he coils and i need one pipe welded and then put my manifold back on then fire her up and drive up to Dees house. I do have one question. Has anyone had any issues with melting the vacum hoses from the wastegate since it is so close to the down pipe?

i believe van said he popped a motor when one melted and the boost spiked. i used a 90 on the wastegate hat and pointed the line towards the transmission and ran it up behind the intake manifold. for the port on the side of the wastegate, i used another 90 and pointed it towards the ground, and ran the line under the dump tube.

Ok well then I will do the best I can to keep the lines out of the way of the DP. Thats going to be tricky though. I could wrap them and see if that helps. How well does the wrap work?

Dave,

You can get insulating sleeve and it works great. I ran my lines over to the passenger firewall and held them there with a little doohicky. Dunno WTF it's called, but basically it has one screw hole and it holds the lines where you put them.

I haven't had any issues. I'll post up a pic tonight of the little thing-a-ma-bob.

damn you're right.. i can see the rust forming on it from the picture..... your downpipe is mild steel too..... so it wont be long til it looks the same as your turbine housings
The downpipes are aluminized.

No rust issues. I've had mine for like... 7 months and it has no rust. Water, oil, you name it. All is good.

I'm putting it in the mail to a forum member today. He'll be able to vouch.

Oh another thing I was curious about. The vac line that comes off the LIM, It used to hook up on the Y pipe. Comes out atthe front there near the filler neck. Can I let that vent or does it have to be capped? Is that a direct vac source?
