When converting the stock twins to non-sequential the exhaust housing needs to be modified. While you can wire the door open, some people experience an annoying rattle. Also, permanently removing the door improves the flow significantly. Since your exhaust housing needs to be taken to a machine shop to be modified you're car will be down longer than it needs to be. With an extra housing you can have it modified and just swap it on the fly; no down time. Then you'll either have an extra or you can sell yours the same way and keep the chain going.
