Building another motor with secondary bridge, here are the exhaust ports. These ports are considered a stage II here in Japan. The stage III ports go up to 112mm and down 67mm.

Ported stock SS exhaust sleeve?

Aftermarket exhaust sleeve?



I don't like to run more overlap, and those ports increase overlap significantly.

Exactly, I seen lots of folks sayin how we here in the US do small exhast. I would think the consensus is becuse we like our low end power. But, I have never seen a dyno on a port that big. Just stating an educated guess on that big of an exhast port.

Yokota is 2-3 hour from Tokyo.



Ted, stock turboII sleeves.



The con of big ports is no low end power, from what they say. I think the gain at the top end makes up for it though. My current "stage 1" exhaust port is almost ready to go back to the dyno, about 75-80% tuned now. Looking at 2 weeks to get some more numbers. Every time I turn around here I see huge exhaust ports from the local tuning shops. This is why I am going to give it a try. Stepping out of the box as they may say.
