Porting 89' Turbo Ii
#1
Hello, i'm new here. I was considering porting my Mazda Rx-7 TII and needed help finding a shop or any experts in rotary engines up here in the MINNESOTA/WISCONSIN area. This is just a street driving car, but i want to mod it a step further. I know that all the real experts reside in CA, VA, FL, etc. but I don't think I'm gonna travel that far just for porting issues. What I'm looking at is a 1/2 bridge port and a regular street port for the exhaust port. Also, has anyone ever done this type of porting before? If so, how does low/high-end power correspond with the porting? Can anyone give me a guesstimate on the cost including labor and all that ****. Any help and information is appreciated. Thanks

Either will decrease low-end power over stock porting or a street port, simply because of overlap. The argument has been made though that a bridge or half-bridge port will spool a larger turbo much faster so low-end power is actually gained or at least maintained.
Full-bridge is on both primary and secondary plates. Half-bridge is porting the secondary irons only.
