Essentially what you are doing is running so much negative split (like 30 degrees) that it ignites and pushes the fuel towards the leading plug where the main and very large explosion occurs. Due to the sweeping nature of the rotary's internal components, lots of fuel tends to accumulate near the top. Using negative split removes this possibility. The negative split must be tapered off to zero split by atmosphere, and positive split by the time you enter boost. I'll try and copy/paste my maps here shortly.

Thanks

Have the irridium plugs in and the car runs pretty good with them...hitting the dyno tomorrow morning for tuning in the vacuum and boost areas up to 15psi. As is, I'm tuned to 10psi. The good news is I have the dyno at my disposal all morning. It's a Clayton eddy-current so it's essentially a rolling road capable of load/hold and inertia-style runs. The BAD news is the dyno coils are being rewound/rebuilt so no hp readings! It'll give me an opportunity to dial in the fuel, timing and EGT. I'll mess around with the fine stuff the following week when the new coils are back in the dyno. I should also have the last coolant mod in place by then and will be able to tune at higher boost levels, around 20psi. At 10psi, I have a bit of traction in first gear but it'll still break the tires loose coming on boost in 2nd. I'm currently waiting not so patiently for Falken to release their new tire (615) in the 265/35 size but I might have to bite the bullet and purchase something else, maybe the PZero Corsas as they're inexpensive. We're getting into the rainy season at the end of the month and I know the Falkens do well in the wet and apparently warm up quickly like a true road tire.
