Well, your housings are Fubar, so you can't really mess up anything that is fubar already.

BTW you have a GT-40 kit car? details? I've alawys wanted to build a kit car version, haven't been able to find a good kit, all of them are the south africa pre-built mega dollar cars

The GT-40 kit car has been put on hold until i am finished my 12a four rotor, so it should be done next summer, Its an Avenger, made my Fibre Fab. Picked it up for next to nothing, its made to go on a VW bug chassis or corvair. But i am going to build a tube chassis with 4 link, should be an exciting car considering the engine will make a min 700-800 hp and the car will weight around 1600 pounds, just desiding if i am going to go with an auto or a stick

So does anyone know if the housings could be seriously damaged by running with the little bit of chrome flake? i am running carbon apex seals so if it breaks a seal it won't wreck the engine.

oh, i thought this was an exact replica of teh MarkIII GT40 down to the nuts and bolts, frame, Gurney bubble and all exact it comes in a box for one to assemble.

as for the chrome flaking. I personally would not use them unless you could refinish them.
