chrome plateing

Has anyone ever had a throttle body from a 1993 rx7 chrome platted. I was told that once you take them apart to be platted that they are hard to get back together. Let me know if anyone has had this done and what the outcome was.

Most people just polish the TB if they decide to do anything at all. Chrome, don't know.
