I second the vote on the super glue, I've used it 3 times and never had a problem. After the glues dries, make sure you remove any remaining glue on the sides with a razor blade.

Do any of you measure the length of the apex seal when gluing on the corner piece? Isn't it supposed to be the same as the width of the housing minus the standard clearance?

Well, I ran into this a little while back. Seems like there will be some variation in apex seal length but this is somewhat self-adjusting at the cut of the corner piece till it wears in. From what I have seen, stock length is around 79.9 to 79.93 mm and the aftermarket ones are right around 80mm. The honorable judge ito says to clearance the aftermarket ones a bit. Haynes manual says to clearance it to be 0.13mm to 0.17mm less than rotor housing width. I don't know where they got this spec from since mazda manuals have no mention of this.

Oh yeah, 85 and before 13Bs had a factory clearance which was even greater. The 85 manual says they are 79.8mm in total length.

So I concluded, there is no hard and fast rule. 0.2mm seems a lot but my 85 GSL-SE has 200K miles and still runs like champ (outruns any 2nd gen n/a) and has decent compression. Obviously they did something right on the 84-85 13bs because almost all of them seem to have lasted well over 200k miles.
