My parents were considering one, but got a Pontiac Vibe GT (toyota matrix XRS) instead. Didnt they have a problem with the cat heating up too much and spontaneously setting the car on fire? i hope thats been taken care of.

I know and talk to a guy in the tech department at our local dealer. He said that was a "stop sell recall" or something like that, meaning they didn't sell any until they fixed that. Other than that, he said, he hasn't heard of any problems with them.
