That's the Mazda5, not the MX-5

I heard about this a week and a half ago, but nobody had any real info.

This is apparently a quote from someone at a large Mazda dealership on the 16th of this month:

mazda has issued as of about 2pm today.. a stop sale on all new mazda5s.. ok ok, this is normal nothing new or special.. dolly(HR lady that just bought a mazda5) is on her way in.. mazda is DEMANDING that EVERY mazda5 customer be placed in a rental car IMMEDIATELY. (insert jaw falling on ground here)

apparently its still very hush hush at mazda.. but so far we know there is a glitch in the computer and electrical system somewhere.. (alittle later we found out that to quote "these things just turn into fireballs, no accidents, no leaks, no bumps, nothing.. just little mazda5 fireballs."

I thought the Mazda5 was just a bigger body on the Mazda3? Wouldn't they all be affected then?

So anyway, that's;

RX-8

Mazda5

Potentially burning to the ground / do not sell. What's next?

it's a hot time to own anything new. ford's recalls, gm's recalls, now mazda's recalls, and don't forget jeep's recalls on 102k grand cherokee laredos. but at least it is transmission problems, and not the whole car going up in smoke.
