I have to disagree with the slow.. and not the slower..

My GSR [93-2nd gen] can and have walked N/A street ported 13b's that were properly tuned. 1st and 2nd gen's.

A GSL-SE will get out of the hole much quicker than my FWD.. but by the middle of 3rd gear [5500 rpms].. I'm gone.
I have to disagree with you...back when my '88 SE was NA, a buddy of mine had a really nice '93 GSR, intake, exhaust, the usual other **** those honda guys use. However, all my '88 NA had was straightback exhaust, cone filter and s-afc to tune with...i pulled over a car length on him from 40 to 100 on more then one occasion, you must be racing the wrong group of 7s,lol....

BTW, at our local track, there are numerous GSR, civic hatchbacks w/ swaps, etc..all kinds of vtec running cars, but in the 1/8th mile, the best any of them did with a straight swap was 9.78(normal was high 9s to low 10s). Then there are guys that have vtec or a swap and spray and bust down to about 9.5 - 9.4 area...I see NA rx7s up there that can pull 10.1 - 9.8 with nothing but exhaust, tires, clutch and intake...and the turbo 7s, well I won't mention what they run, cuz its out of context...
