any of you guys with non turbo race GSRs. i raced one and man i thought i would get left in the dust but no.

he just pulled me by 1 car and he was the one to launch first because he was the one beeping 3 times. i had like 140-150 HP and he has like 170-180HP. that guy thought he would pulled me bad but i was right by his bumper. it will be different if i had a turbo 2 but the non turbo did okay.

I WISH I COULD GET A TURBO 2. FOR DRAG REASONS AND DRIFT.

Turbo's for drifting is a little sketch in my opinion. I would rather a smooth hp instead of the spiking tendancys of turbos. They are good in a stright line but when you get power spikes when your trying to get percice corner angles it gets tricky.

Also, I think it was a more fair fight than you might think:

GS-R teeg used the B17A1 engine that gives 160 hp (120 kW) @ 7600 rpm & 118 ft·lbf (159 N·m) @ 7000 rpm,

the 86' GXL's B13 is 146 hp (109 kW) at 6500 rpm and 138 ft·lbf (187 N·m) at 3500 rpm.

The teeg is also about 120lb heavier. x7 might have 14 les hp, but it's lighter, RWD, and has 20ft-lb extra torque on it's side. Another factor is the teeg is going to be only sitting on ~130hp when v-tech isn't engaged. So if he's a sloppy shifter the x7 will be faster every time, if not, i think it's almost dead even, if not in favor of the x7.

whoa. come to think of it. i think your right. i did pull him on gears but in between shifts he catches up. when shifting from 1st into 2nd is like pushing the car already. what do you think the problem is? the transmission or the clutch. that is probably the reason i lost. i guess ill race him again after i fix the problem and this time ill make sure i pull him far.

any advice on the hard gears shifting. Transmission or clutch problem?
