If you can get a carb overhaul kit there are several of us that can help you overhaul the carb. I recomend the one you can get from Black Dragon Auto, the link to there site is on the front page of our website. www.inwr.org . Hope this helps or is at least a good start.

That depends on what you consider "small".

Just a guess on my part but are your secondaries opening? The secondaries are vacuum so it take the right amount of air going through the carb to get them to open. You should be able to tell if the secondaries are open by taking the top off of the air cleaner and holding the throttle open all the way when the car is running, once the rpm's get high enough the secondaries should open.

Pull off the seconday diaphram and check to make sure it works, you should be able to feel air coming out when you move the diaphram. The passage in the carb can be blown through to try and clear it, if your using an air compressor don't seal the nozzle against the passage you could harm something but you can get close to it so it dosen't get the full force of the airstream.
