Big thanks for the folks who were able to make it over to Michelles and mine place. The only teching that went on was welding in Kompressor bung, and he wired in his new wide band, look good btw. Also Kettleman did some Weber tweaking on the cool *** Geo tracker with the 13B and I helped him make a heat shield.

Kettleman ran the barbque for the second of MEAT BURGERS, which he runs like his car, flames everywhere

Lots of food and sunshine, all and all great time.

Then we went for a drive around Brown's Point which is right above the sound. Got some twisties in. Michelle was driving the seven and I was in Claytons car. Well she bottomed out really hard so we all pulled over to check it out. the seven died, and wouldn't restart. Tried and tried, then it had absolutely no spark. I checked the main fuses under the hood, one powers up the msd. It was popped, so we replaced it. Michelle tried starting it up again and smoke rolled out of the MSD box, I am not a electrical engineer, but I know that ain't good.

So we headed back to the house and every one went their seperate ways. I took the work truck over to autozone, to buy a tow strap. On the way back to the car, I had a emphinany, by pass the msd. Michelle stayed with the car, and I got back cut the wires from the FD ignitor to the MSD. Crimped some connectors on the wires and plugged them directly to the coils. Turned the car over and it started to catch. It took a couple times but it finally fired off. YEAH, it runs again. Which is awesome, because I hate towing cars.

Michelle drove it home and I breathed a big sigh of relief.

MSD, I hate it and love it. I drove it when we got back home, you can feel the power is down. It doesn't pull as hard in the upper range. Before you call bullshit, I have been driving this car with the msd for over two years, including a year and half of autox, track day, drag racing, I have also dynoed it 8 or 9 times. The power is down, the exhaust smells way richer, weird because the wide band reads the same. Also I was blipping the throttle in the drive way when I got home and yes it was popping out little after burner flames So the MSD does burn a lot cleaner, hotter. Michelle also said the power was down. SO MSD does make a difference., but now its a big red shiny box, with charcoal inside. So back to the summit cataog for plan B.

P.S. I would give the msd to KOMPressor, but he woould have it fixed in two days and dyno out 300 hp with it on his na turbo car. Then I would feel pretty stupid.... SO slightly used msd for sale.

I spent the day doing yard work...

This is how I make sure I can race when ever there is a race.

Sounds like it was quite an event!

Hey Chris, the MSD has an internal fuse...maybe that is all it is.
